I want to express my gratitude to all of you, for the many ways you have welcomed me into the church, spoken words of appreciation for my ministry, and actively engaged in the transitional work that I’ve been called to bring you. It has been a rich and full three months since I began on June 1. I look forward to even more valuable time together in the journey ahead!
I have been very encouraged to hear that some folks who have been actively participating in the church are asking to learn about how they can become members of Priest Lake Presbyterian Church. Wonderful - I will be happy to talk to you, and anyone else interested in becoming a member! I have scheduled an Explorers Class for Sunday, September 21, after worship, in the library/conference room. We will discuss the Presbyterian Church (USA) in general, Priest Lake Presbyterian Church in particular, and all that is involved in becoming a member. We’ll also have an opportunity to get to know one another a little better. Please join us, and learn more about the church, on September 21!

Church Treasurer Position Opening
The session is inviting interested members of the church to prayerfully consider serving as church treasurer. Laura Bradford, who has been faithfully and capably serving as treasurer, will be concluding her service by the end of the year. The session is seeking someone who has experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping, has a working knowledge of QuickBooks, and will bring proven communication and collaboration skills. The position also requires someone who can be trusted with confidential information. This is a volunteer position, designed to support and resource the congregation in its financial operations, as we faithfully follow the call of Jesus Christ. The approximate time required is 3-4 hours per week. If you are interested, or wish to learn more about the treasurer position, please contact Bonnie Shapbell (629-333-4239) or Rev. Ray Thomas.

Percy's Post
Desserts were a sweet symphony: cupcakes, brownies, and a pecan pie that nearly made me forget my manners (I only sniffed it, I swear). The fellowship was just as rich, with familiar faces and returning travelers filling the day with laughter and love. It was wonderful to see Susan O’Brien, Ann Dwyer, the Nocks (fresh from Iceland!), the Turks (back from Ireland!), Winny Glenny, and Nancy Loudermilk.
And oh, the music! Patricia Burfield was all smiles as the Music City Dixieland Band brought the spirit. The highlight? Jon Loudermilk stepping up to sing “Hello Dolly”—a moment so joyful, even my whiskers danced.
From the grill to the gospel of good company, this Labor Day was a celebration of community, flavor, and faith. Thank you to everyone who made it happen. I’ll be dreaming of ribs and rhythm until next year.

Holy Smokes and Heavenly Fellowship!

Come to the Table lunch
We’re kicking off the season with comfort food and community—don’t miss it! On the menu: Ham Tetrazzini (bite-size spaghetti—creamy and cheesy!), black-eyed peas, Cole slaw (Travis Turk’s legendary mayo/vinegar recipe), garlic bread, and a sweet dessert to top it all off.
There’s always a seat waiting for you. Come hungry, come joyful, come to the table.
