Worship

Worship at PLPC is centered on Christ, the Living Word of God. We confess that Jesus is the “who” and “why” of our lives. We believe in including ancient elements like written prayers, scripture readings, and hymns plus new offerings, like contemporary songs with violin or cello. Sermons are practical and always include ideas for how to live the gospel, not just talk about it. We hope to engage people’s imagination in the narrative of God’s story, which is our story. We encourage lay leadership in the service and often hear testimonies of where God is active in the lives of this church. The passing of the peace typically turns into a lengthy time of hugs and check-ins because the people of PLPC love each other.

Children are always welcome in the sanctuary during worship.
We also provide childcare in the nursery for your convenience.

Worship time is Sundays at 10:30 am
From 10:15-10:30 our sanctuary is kept quiet for personal prayer and meditation.

Prayer and Praise Service
Wednesday at 6:15 pm
Join us every Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. in the sanctuary for our new Prayer and Praise service.
It’s a time to pause, reflect, and recharge your spirit in the middle of a busy week.
Whether you’re seeking peace, encouragement, or just a quiet moment with God, this gathering is for you.

Communion

Communion is offered the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome to God’s table. PLPC serves both wine and juice as well as regular and gluten-free bread.

Music

We sing certain songs each week, like the Gloria Patri to praise God and the Doxology in thanks for our blessings. Our worship, while traditional in some ways, blends hymns and more current songs. You may hear a choir, soloists, Isaac Watts compositions,  possibly the blues, or some Johnny Cash.

Live Stream

Our service is livestreamed here on our website, on our Facebook Page, and YouTube Channel.
