PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
Lord our God, you are more ready to forgive our sins than we are to name them. You so loved the world that you sent your only Son, that we may have life through him. We confess that we have given time, energy, and attention elsewhere. We come to you drained and disillusioned from following other paths and powers whose promises come up empty. We’ve put you on hold, even as your loving kindness beckons us home. Forgive us our sins. Restore us as faithful disciples, following and honoring Jesus Christ, our Savior. Hear us now as we confess our sins silently, trusting your mercy.
SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION: In Jesus’ name, Amen.
