†CALL TO WORSHIP: (Psalm 103: 15-18)
One: The days of a human life are like grass: they bloom like a wildflower;
All: But when the wind blows through it, it’s gone; even the ground where it stood doesn’t remember it.
One: But the Lord’s faithful love is from forever ago to forever from now for those who honor him.
All: And God’s righteousness reaches to the grandchildren of those who keep his covenant and remember to keep his commands.

CALL TO CONFESSION:
PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
Lord our God, your blessings are new every morning and your saving grace sustains us all the day through. But our gratitude comes up lacking. We take your gifts for granted while always wanting more. We seek many things and are so busy and distracted with all kinds of other priorities. We delay our times with you. We put off our prayers, our recognition of your love, and your call to serve our neighbors in need. Forgive us, as we turn from those paths that drain us and deplete our joy. Guide us to streams of living water and places of peace where we may hear your still, small voice. Thankful for your patience and compassion, hear us now as we pray our personal confessions...
SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION: In Jesus’ name, Amen
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS:

TIME FOR ALL GOD’S CHILDREN:
PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION:
Lord God, speak your illuminating word. Unsettle our complacency, quite our restlessness, and dissolve our resistance to the Spirit as you move among us now, bringing your word to live within us, through Jesus Christ. Amen.
SCRIPTURE READINGS:      Micah 6: 6-8                    Galatians 5: 22-26
One: This is the word of God for the people of God.
All: Thanks be to God.
MESSAGE:                                         “The Gift of Clarity”
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH: (from the PCUSA A Brief Statement of Faith)
We trust in God, whom Jesus called Abba, Father. In sovereign love God created the world good and makes everyone equally in God’s image, male and female, of every race and people, to live as one community. But we rebel against God; we hide from our Creator. Ignoring God’s commandments, we violate the image of God in others and ourselves, accept lies as truth, exploit
neighbor and nature, and threaten death to the planet entrusted to our care. We deserve God’s condemnation. Yet God acts with justice and mercy to redeem creation. In everlasting love, the God of Abraham and Sarah chose a covenant people to bless all families of the earth. Hearing their cry, God delivered the children of Israel from the house of bondage. Loving us still, God makes us heirs with Christ of the covenant. Like a mother who will not forsake her nursing child, like a father who runs to welcome the prodigal home, God is faithful still.
