†CALL TO WORSHIP: (Psalm 67)
One: May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, that your way may be known upon earth, your saving power among all nations.
All: Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you.
One: Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon the earth.
All: Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you.
One: The earth has yielded its increase; God has blessed us.
All: May God continue to bless us; let all the ends of the earth revere him.
†OPENING HYMN: # 229 “From All That Dwell Below the Skies”
CALL TO CONFESSION
PRAYER OF CONFESSION: (Romans 11, Isaiah 56)
Merciful God, your world cries out. The fruits of our disobedience are harming your creation. You tasked us to be good stewards of your creation and we have fallen short. You challenged us to love God and love our neighbor, and we have failed to show that love. You promise to bring all people joyfully together in a house of prayer on your holy mountain. We find ways to stay apart. Bring us together, O Lord. Empower us with a spirit of love for you and love for all our neighbors. Help us live lives of service to you so that all your children will know your peace. Forgive us when we fall short and continue to transform your world, leading us to your promised kingdom. Now, Lord, we offer our silent prayers of confession.
SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION: We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
†PASSING OF THE PEACE
†CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE: # 579 “Gloria Patri”
TIME FOR ALL GOD’S CHILDREN
PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION: (Isaiah56:1)
“Thus says the Lord: Maintain justice and do what is right, for soon my salvation will come and my deliverance be revealed.” Let us pray. God of every time and place, may your Spirit move among us so that the words we hear and the words we speak will be to your glory, will lead towards justice, and will reveal to us your salvation and deliverance. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
SCRIPTURE READINGS: Isaiah 56: 1, 6-8; Genesis 45: 1-15
One: This is the word of God for the people of God.
All: Thanks be to God.
MESSAGE: “Gathering and Restoration” David Sadler, CRE
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH: (The Confession of 1967)
God’s sovereign love is a mystery beyond the reach of the human mind. Human thought ascribes to God superlatives of power, wisdom, and goodness. But God reveals divine love in Jesus Christ by showing power in the form of a servant, wisdom in the folly of the cross, and goodness in receiving sinful men and women. The power of God’s love in Christ to transform the world discloses that the Redeemer is the Lord and Creator who made all things to serve the purpose of God’s love. Amen.
SPECIAL MUSIC: "Prelude No.2" by George Gershwin, Sami Copeland
CALL FOR GOD’S TITHES AND OUR OFFERING
†PASTORAL PRAYER AND THE LORD’S PRAYER
CLOSING HYMN: #343 “Called as Partners in Christ’s Service”

†CHORAL DISMISSAL WITH BLESSING: “You Are the Vine”
