Message: David Sadler, CRE
Liturgist: Jon Loudermilk

†CALL TO WORSHIP:
One: God calls us from the lakeshore and from the city streets, from quiet places and crowded ones.
All: Christ meets us where we are and invites us to follow
One: When the poor share with others, when the broken lift one another up- there the kingdom of God is revealed.
All: We come to listen, to learn, and to love.
One: Come, people of God- the One who knows our gifts and our limits calls us still.
All: We will follow Christ, who leads us in compassion and justice.
†OPENING HYMN: Blue #377       “Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore” (v. 1-3)
CALL TO CONFESSION:
PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
God of compassion and calling. You meet us in our daily lives and invite us to follow You. Yet we confess that we resist Your call. We hold tightly to what we have, fearful that generosity will leave us empty. We overlook the poor, the lonely, and the hurting, forgetting that You are revealed in acts of mercy. Forgive us, O Lord. Turn our hearts toward Your justice, our hands toward Your service, and our lives toward Your love.
SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION: In Jesus’ name, Amen
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
†PASSING OF THE PEACE
†CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE: Blue# 579     “Gloria Patri”
TIME FOR ALL GOD’S CHILDREN
PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION:
Holy Spirit, You who stirred the waters of creation and called disciples from the lakeshore- stir in us now. Open our hearts to Your Word, that we may hear Your call, see Your presence among the poor, and follow where You lead. Amen.
SCRIPTURE READINGS:    1 Kings 17: 8-16; 2 Corinthians 8: 1-15
One: This is the word of God for the people of God.
