A summary of what’s going on at PLPC
HOOPS is back for its 11th year! Beginning Wednesday, June 5, this free program, open to youth 12 years old and older, uniquely matches basketball and God’s love to the youth in our community. In addition to lively basketball games, participants enjoy snacks, dinner and devotional time each Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Coming soon to a phone near you! PLPC will soon be offering a mobile app for online giving. Tithe.ly is the leading app for nonprofit giving. Please join us for our Easter Sunday Service at 10:15 am.
Since 1949, Presbyterians have joined with millions of other Christians through One Great Hour of Sharing to share God’s love with people experiencing need. Your gifts support ministries of disaster response, refugee assistance and resettlement, food for the hungry, and community development that helps people find safe refuge, start new lives, and work together to strengthen their families and communities.
On Easter Sunday, please join us as we gather at 7:00 a.m. for a sunrise service at the lake at the Hamilton Creek Sailboat Marina off Bell Road. This is a brief service outside in the light of the new day to remind us of the new day that began with the resurrection of Christ.
On Friday April 19th, a special service called a Service of Shadows will be offered at 6:30 p.m. as we remember the crucifixion of Christ.
Starting in late March We will begin offering children’s learning time during worship. The lessons will be appropriate for children 3 – 7 years old, who will leave after the children’s sermon if parents wish them to participate. This means we will need an extra volunteer in the nursery each week. Please let the church office, Danielle, or Pastor Cindy know if you can help.
It’s time to get the church ready for Easter! We will be working both indoors and out (weather permitting). All supplies will be provided. There is a job for everyone…some big and some small. Come lend a hand!!
On Sunday April 14th, we will sing and wave palms as we remember Christ’s entry into Jerusalem on a humble donkey. We’ll consider the king we want and the King that we were blessed to receive.
On Sunday, April 14th, we will celebrate Easter with our annual Palm Sunday lunch. The church will provide ham, bread and drinks. Please bring a dish or two to share. Don’t miss this special event…and lots of good food!
